So far, all of the progress here has merely been in calibrating and completing the EEG. The device is based upon the OpenEEG PCBs with minor modifications; it is still powered by the INA114 instrumentation amplifiers with an active ground.

I'll be updating this page as the project progresses; currently the I have measured an EKG with the device (an EEG is basically a very good voltmeter, and so measuring the potentials produced by the heart is almost trivial for a device designed to measure electrical activity in the brain). Currently this is setup for a simple EKG, in single-channel (2 active leads) mode. Here is my EKG, recorded with the device communicating over serial with the ElecGuru software:
